The New Zealand Business Excellence Foundation is committed to assisting New Zealand organisations realise their full potential, with Foundation membership open to all New Zealand organisations.

The Foundation's mandate is to assist New Zealand organisations improve their performance and capabilities by providing a best practice business framework and by offering support, training, assessment services, access to Award programmes and networking with like-minded organisations.

Many organisations aspire to be world class, but do not have a sense of what this is. The NZ Business Excellence Criteria, which aligns to the US Baldrige criteria provides a guide. Baldrige is an internationally recognised business model based on extensive research of the common characteristics found in high performing organisations around the globe. Unlike other “total quality management” models it is not a compliance framework, but rather a management discipline to guide organisational performance and a continuous improvement culture. This enables organisations to focus performance upon moving towards becoming “world class” and demonstrating credibility to stakeholders and the marketplace.

When you become a Foundation member your organisation will gain access to valuable networks, learning environments and support while the Foundation will assist you to evaluate and prioritise business improvement opportunities and to develop best practices within your organisation.
